All-Inclusive Package

What is all-inclusive pricing: Food and drinks, private webpage

Why do all-inclusive pricing: Many people choose the all-inclusive option as it is easier for large groups rather than trying to find space at a restaurant. Moreover, Costa Rica is actually more expensive than people think. Costa Rica imports most of the food and drinks which therefore mean they cost more than they might in some other countries such as the USA. For example, a 750 ml bottle of Evan Williams whiskey at the local store here is 25 mil or $50. A bottle of prosecco is 12 mil, or $24 dollars. Because we do our own sourcing, we’re able to get better ingredients at better prices for groups.

What are Mango Mono’s all-inclusive options:

$70 for adults 18 and over, per person per day, which includes alcohol and food.

$35 for those under 18.

No charge 3 and under.

Food:

We have a website app that your guests are able to select from about 12 different items for breakfast. Lunch is mostly grab and go, with premade sandwiches, salads etc. If the cook is around, she will cook lunch for you. With the all-inclusive package, the staff will basically make whatever you want for breakfast or lunch as long as we have materials, but we try to reduce the burden of choice by having some suggested options.

Dinner is typically a set meal that we curate based on the preferences for your group, below is attached the menu we're making for a group in November.

Drink:

We are limited to some brands in country, if you had certain brands you wanted, you can ask and we'll see what we can do. For alcohol we typically provide two kinds of beer (imperial, imperial light, and corona),  wines are a merlot and cab, sauvignon blanc and chardonnay , liquor (kirkland vodka, jarana tequila, flor de cana rum, brut prosecco, a bottle of the national liquor, kirkland scotch whiskey (or we can do J & B), aperol, bombay sapphire gin. For the wine and prosecco we grab a few varieties from an Italian import store and some from the local "costco". They also get limes and other fruits to make things like pina coladas, mojitos, margaritas. The mixes are made in-house. They also make extra simple syrup, orange wedges etc. fresh squeezed watermelon juice, orange juice, pineapple juice, and depending on the season availability mango and papaya juice. Coffee, espresso, tea.  Since we have an ice cream maker, I generally recommend mango sorbet in a bit of prosecco if you're at the pool since it will keep it colder a little longer. We have not had a group run out yet!

What about excursions or golf carts or airport transfer? We don’t have these services in house, but our concierge services will work to get these arranged for your group along with transportation. We generally recommend to budget around $100 per person per excursion. Excursions and golf carts fill up very quickly in the high season so it is best to get these scheduled and paid for in advance. We have great group rates for when your group arrives on the same flight for airport transfers.

What are the next steps? Once your group has reserved and indicated you want some all-inclusive options, we start a cloud document with you and your decision makers. This document will be your live quote for the total items you’ve selected for your stay. As different staff members find pricing for the items you want, they will add these to the document for you to see. The balance for the all-inclusive is due one month prior to your stay to ensure we have time to source the materials for your group.

Other questions:

There are 2 people who don’t want the all-inclusive, can they opt out? Unfortunately no. It is very confusing for our staff. We need everyone to be on the same plan.

One member of my group doesn’t drink, can they have a lower price on the all-inclusive?

Unfortunately no. Because we fresh squeeze juices and soda is very expensive here, a large proportion of our cost is not on the alcohol, it’s for the other components. For example, fresh squeezed orange juice for a large group takes 3 guys 2 days to clean, squeeze, and requires over 300 oranges. We also make fabulous virgin pina coladas.

We really prefer Titos over Kirkland brand, can we change that? Our staff will be happy to look into that for you. It is really dependent on availability when you reserve.

Can we just do breakfast? If you only want breakfast, you can order that through the application.

What if all of our group isn’t arriving at the same time or leaving early? As you are reserving the entire place privately, we cannot discount the accommodation for those days. However, for example if you reserved a 7 day stay and had members of your group only coming for 3 days, we would only charge the all-inclusive for the days they are staying. This reason is why it is helpful for us to know the flights of your guests so we can give accurate pricing.
